How can I choose a specific pitch/lodge when booking?
Do you have a favorite camping pitch, motorhome site or lodge? Would you like to book it? You can do so at step 1 ('Stay') 'Choose on the map' by clicking on the pencil icon. Available pitches are indicated by a blue and white icon. Click on your favorite number.
Please note that booking with āpreferred placeā costs ā¬14/stay. If you do not indicate a preferred pitch, you will be allocated a random number.Ā
Can I book with a discount card?
Can I book with a discount card?
Yes, you can book with the PasarPas or Camping Key Europe discount card:
- Pasar discount is 10% all year round. While booking, select at step 4 ('Confirm') by ticking 'Yes, I have a discount card' and press the + at 'Pasar' button. The discount will be automatically settled at the summary.
- The Camping Key Europe card gives 5% discount in low season. For this one too, you have to press the + at step 4 (Confirm) when booking.
Your discount card will be checked on arrival. Make sure you have it in your pocket to present it!
How much Pasar-discount do I receive?
How much Pasar-discount do I receive?
Are you a Pasar member? Then use your PasarPas to get a 10% discount on rental and camping rates (per night) at Kompas Camping. When booking, select āPasarā discount card' in step 2 ('Extras') and the discount will automatically be settled under 'Rent'.
Attention: The Pasar discount only applies to bookings in the name and address of the PasarPas holder. Upon arrival, it will be checked whether you are entitled to Pasar discount. Make sure you have your PasarPas in your pocket! Your Pasar membership must be valid for the entire period of your stay.

I have a voucher code. How do I process it in my booking?
Type the voucher code in the box providedĀ in step "4" (Confirm) of the booking process. Then click on the "Add" button. The voucher amount will be automatically deducted from the total.Ā
Attention:
> A voucher code is case-sensitive.
> A reference code of a Kompas Camping gift voucher is not a voucher code. It cannot be processed online. To book with a gift voucher, contact us (by e-mail or telephone). We will be happy to make the booking for you!
I booked but forgot to add my discount card.
I booked but forgot to add my discount card.
No problem! Bring your discount card when you check in with us. Is it still valid? Then you will get your discount 'refunded' in the form of a voucher. This voucher is valid indefinitely.
Do I have to pay a deposit when booking?
Do I have to pay a deposit when booking?
A reservation becomes final after (online) payment of the deposit of ā¬ 195 or, for smaller files (= up to ā¬ 200), the full amount. You will always receive an invoice to confirm your booking. The balance must be paid no later than 8 weeks before the start of your stay. Late payment of the deposit or balance automatically leads to cancellation of the reservation.

Only our team can change the booking after confirmation. Contact us by e-mail or phone and we will do the necessary. Please note, changes after confirmation are subject to an administrative fee: ā¬ 25 when booking a camping pitch or motorhome pitch, ā¬ 50 when booking a Comfort Lodge or Premium Lodge.

The direct online payment link does not work. How come?
When the amount of the booking exceeds the payment limit of your Bancontact card, the payment via the link does not work. You can then proceed to payment via bank transfer. You will find the IBAN number of Kompas Camping at the bottom of your invoice.
For Kompas Camping Westende this is BE07 7995 5040 3866.
For Kompas Camping Nieuwpoort it is BE47 7995 5035 6780.
If you wish to pay by credit card, the payment limit is ā¬ 2000. Is the amount to be paid higher? Then contact us (by e-mail or telephone) to split the amount, so that you can pay the invoice in two steps.

Are you unable to fill in the guest list? Perhaps the link has expired. Send us an e-mail with your booking number. A staff member will provide you with a new link to the guest list.

You can book a maximum stay of 30 days online.

In the case of a cancellation, our cancellation conditions apply. You will find them in the campsite regulations under point 1.4. Cancellations must be notified by e-mail or post.

Cancellation insurance can only be underwritten at the time of the initial booking. It is not possible afterwards.

You cannot reserve a pitch in advance at the Kompas Camperpark Lombardsijde (in the Strandjuttersdreef). Payment and access is done via the payment kiosk on site.
Can I buy a gift voucher?

You can! You decide the amount and the voucher can be used for a stay or in our restaurant.
Are you present on the campsite? Then we will gladly help you in our reception. Not present? Mail us the details below. We will send you an invoice and after receipt of payment the gift voucher will be sent by post.

Our barriers are set to open from 1 PM for camping and motor home pitches and from 4 PM for accommodations. Please note that the barriers only open automatically if you have (correctly) given your license plate in advance. Didn't register your license plate? Then park in the car park or waiting lane on arrival and report to reception. If you entered via license plate recognition, we ask you to go to reception within 24 hours of arrival to confirm your presence and obtain useful information (map, entertainment, kids' gadget, etc.).

With a valid booking, you can drive in until 11 PM. If the reception is closed when you arrive, follow the instructions listed on the information board at the reception.

Our barriers are set for entry from 1 pm for camping and motorhome sites and from 4 pm for rental accommodation on the day of arrival. Exit on the day of departure is until 12 noon for camping and motor home sites and 10 am for rental accommodation.
If you wish to arrive earlier or leave later, you must book an extra day (the day before or after).

Have you booked a stay in the future? Then you will receive a message (e-mail) two days before arrival to register your license plate.
Did you book on the day of departure/arrival? Then you will have the opportunity to register your license plate immediately.
What are the entry and exit times during my stay?

During your stay (from the day after check-in), you can enter the campsite between 7am and 11pm. After 11pm, the barrier does not open to preserve the peace and quiet of the campsite.
You can drive out at any time, 24/24h. If you have to leave the campsite at night for urgent reasons, you can do so.
Can I park on a motorhome/camper pitch with a motorbike?

Only a motorhome is allowed on our motorhome sites. Motorbikes must be parked in the car park.Ā
Maximum 1 car or 2 motorbikes are allowed on our camping pitches.
Attention: our barriers in Nieuwpoort and Westende work through number plate recognition. However, the number plate of a motorbike is not recognised and the driver must therefore enter the campsite via the cycle path (not the barrier).Ā

Yes! During the Belgian school holidays (attention, only those in Dutch-speaking schools), our entertainment team offers the most fun activities for everyone from 6 to 99 years old. Our seal Kasper will also be present then! Meet him now and check out his page with drawings, songs and films.

Our rental accommodations (Comfort, Wood, Access and Premium Lodge) all offer Wi-Fi (included in the price of your stay). You will find the Wi-Fi code at the TV cabinet in your lodge.
Did you book a camping or camper van pitch? Then you can use the wifi network for a fee. Consult the rates on the website of our partner Citymesh. You can buy codes at our reception.
Is there a babycot and/or high chair in the lodges?

In the storeroom of the Comfort and Premium Lodge (access via side or back) there is a baby bed and high chair as standard. Did you book a Wood Lodge? Then your lodge does not have a storage room but you can request a cot and high chair for free by specifying the desired number in step 2 āUpgradesā of the booking (maximum 2).

No, we do not rent refrigerators nor freezers at Compass Camping. Chilled drinks and food are for sale in our camping shop.

No, we do not rent BBQs.
By the way, BBQ'ing is allowed provided you do not disturb the neighbours.
Can I charge my electric vehicle on the campsite?
Can I charge my electric vehicle on the campsite?
You can charge your electric car at Kompas Camping Nieuwpoort (not yet at Kompas Camping Westende). At the Premium Lodge Park there are 4 charging stations that you can use via the Smappee app (scan and charge) or via map (swipe and charge). At the charging station, consult the current rates.

No, we do not rent/sell CEE plugs. So bring your own plug! Forgotten a plug? The following shops sell them in the region: Handy Home (Nieuwpoort) and Euroshop (Middelkerke).
Can I withdraw money at Kompas Camping?
Can I withdraw money at Kompas Camping?
No, there is no cash machine on our campsites. You can withdraw money in Nieuwpoort-Stad, Westende-Bad or Middelkerke.
In our shop, snack bar, brasserie, tavern, ... pay with bank card, credit card or Payconiq. We no longer accept cash.
Can I use the swimming pool if I am not staying at Kompas Camping Nieuwpoort?

No, the swimming pool is reserved for our guests (with a valid booking).
Can I have a parcel/package delivered to Kompas Camping?
Can I have a parcel/package delivered to Kompas Camping?
No. We do not accept postal packages or parcels (large or small). Want a parcel delivered during your stay? Then send it to one of the many collection points near our campsites:

Am I responsible for the green space maintenance on my pitch?
Am I responsible for the green space maintenance on my pitch?
No! We work with an external landscaping company that maintains all hedges, grass and flower beds throughout the year. If you have specific questions or comments about the maintenance of your (camping/camper) pitch or lodge, please report these to reception.
If required, you can borrow a lawnmower through reception.
