Looking for a nice campsite where you can practice various water sports during your holiday? Come to Kompas camping Nieuwpoort! Not feeling up for a day of water sports in Flanders or would you like to alternate with another active activity? There are many sports possibilities at our campsite! There are two beach-volley fields, several petanque fields, an omnisports field for tennis, basket, volley and mini-football...and when the weather's not so good there's even a sports hall. When you come on holiday with us, you'll not only come back relaxed but also completely healthy! Want to practice water sports in Belgium? Then come to our family campsite by the sea!
What is your favourite water sport?
Next to Camping Nieuwpoort, on the banks of the IJzer, there is a water saving basin. Previously situated as a quarry for a brickworks and a quarry that provided sand for the construction of highways, counter wooded as a recreation area. In the savings basin many kinds of water sports are practiced in Flanders such as kayaking, sailing, fishing and surfing.
Campsite with fishing water
In addition to active water sports, you can also enjoy some relaxing fishing. You can enjoy yourself to the fullest along the water's edge or on a boat. At Kompas camping Nieuwpoort you can fish in the Spaarbekken. You can also hunt for big fish in the Ijzer and the North Sea. You can ask for more information about the necessary fishing licences at our reception. On our campsite with fishing water you can rent an accommodation or camping pitch near the fishing water.
End the day well after water sports
After a day of water sports you feel like resting and refreshing. Jump in the shower in our luxury chalets and afterwards you can relax on the terrace. This is perfect to get back into shape the next day at the start of your next water sport.
